New Line of High-End, Inspirational Stationery Takes Flight
Introducing A Woman With Wings Notecards
Pasadena, CA August 2006 Personal communication is a powerful tool. And while the clickety-clack of a keyboard is great for perfunctory correspondence, the true gift of self is a handwritten note from the heart. Look no further for inspiration A Woman With Wings' note cards are now available. Pairing fine quality paper stock (think Crane's) with contemporary watercolor illustrations and moving phrases of simple wisdom, A Woman With Wings introduces the first five of its signature notecard lines: Passion, Inspiration, Wisdom, Gratitude and Leadership.
Packaged in a vibrant keepsake "clutch-purse," each package contains ten cards (5.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches long) and envelopes that take standard first-class postage. Retailing for $25 - $30 per package, the stationery can be purchased directly from A Woman With Wings' website (www.womanwwings.com) or at select spas nationwide.
"My hope for these cards, our first in a long line of products 'from the heart,' is that they inspire others to communicate in their own unique way," says A Woman With Wings founder Patricia Varga. "And by expressing one's genuine self, others will be inspired to do the same."
Varga created the line after taking a leave from a 23-year career in magazine advertising and publishing. The 49-year-old enrolled in art and design classes at Pasadena Art Center where she studied graphic design and packaging. Though she has wanted to develop her creative expressions for years, she realized that starting now was crucial.
"Our world is in dire need of more feminine, creative energy," says Varga. "Sending messages of kindness, compassion and tolerance can make a significant difference, for we women and men alike are all connected to the same energy, the same humanity."
Varga takes her own "message" even further. Five percent of every purchase will be donated to Soroptimist International (www.soroptimistinternational.org), an international organization that embodies A Woman with Wings' own mission: the enhancement of human rights and the empowerment of women.
